
Scabies is a skin infestation caused by a microscopic bug called Sarcoptes scabiei. Fleas are common worldwide and affects people of all races and social classes. Scabies spreads rapidly in crowded conditions, where the skin is often a direct contact between people, such as hospitals, closed institutions, kindergartens, homes for the elderly.
It marked clinical itch on the skin that occurs in which we find papules, vesicles or small linear flow containing mites and eggs. In men, lesions are common in the front of wrists and elbows, anterior axillary folds, hips, thighs and external genitalia. In women, often exposed nipples, lower abdomen and buttocks. In the baby’s head can affect the neck, palms and soles of the feet. These areas are usually free to parents.
