Broccoli helps combat ultraviolet effectsProtects especially people with impaired immune systems and those most at risk of skin cancer
Eating broccoli is not only good for overall health, but also combats the effects of ultraviolet radiation from the sun, a study released today by the journal Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences.

Scientists at Johns Hopkins University noted that the extract of the seeds of this vegetable, called sulforaphane, reduces skin redness and skin lesions with increasing production of enzymes that protect cells from radiation.

Until now know that broccoli is high in carbohydrates, vitamin C, vitamin A, potassium, folate, calcium and iron, all which help fight a long list of diseases.

It also contains antioxidants and fiber to prevent an increase in cholesterol and help regulate blood sugar and insulin in the blood.

Erythema nodosum

Erythema nodosum is a skin reaction that occurs secondary to many processes, especially infections.

This reaction forms a red nodules and / or purplish skin, about two to three centimeters in diameter, which are often located in the anterior tibia, although it may occur in the arms. They are very painful, especially to the touch. Actually, this is a hypersensitivity reaction of the skin, although its exact mechanism is unknown.

It occurs most often in women between 20 and 30 years without knowing exactly why.

Herbal skin care

HerbalSkin care is not a topic of recent times, it is to practice for the first time, when herbal skin care may be the only way to skin care. However, skin care has transformed in a big way. Herbal skin care routine is replaced by synthetic / chemical based skin care routines. The herbal skin care recipes which once used to be common areas are not popular today (and even unknown to a large population). This transformation from herbal skin care to synthetic, can probably be attributed to two things our laziness (or just the fast pace of life) and the commercialisation of skin care. Even herbal skin care products are commercialised. The commercial herbal skin care products is that mixed with preservatives to increase their buffet-life, so makes them more effective than fresh home made. However, it seems that things are changing fast and more people are now choosing for natural and herbal skin routine care. But still, nothing would make them at home and hence the commercial market of herbal products skin care is on the rise.
